K-12 Principal Search at Chokio-Alberta Schools
On February 4, the Administrative Committee met with Superintendent Jerome to review several topics, including the increasing demands on the administration position at Chokio-Alberta Schools. Due to these demands, the committee determined that a dedicated full-time principal would better ensure consistent on-site leadership and support for students and staff throughout the school day.
With guidance from the Minnesota School Board Association, the Chokio-Alberta Public School School Board will be conducting interviews on Tuesday March 3rd and Wednesday March 4th. The interviews will start at 5:00 pm each evening. There are 2 interview on Tuesday and 3 interviews on Wednesday. The School Board will making a decision on Wednesday evening.
The interviews are open to the public because the whole School Board or the majority of the School Board will be present at each interview.
We will allow the public to write 2 areas of strength and 2 areas of improvement for each candidate. The School Board will pass and read all comment cards to to themselves after the final interview.
Once the last interview is finished the School Board will then discuss (in front of the public) who should be offered the job. It will take a motion, second and majority vote again in front of the public and you cannot close the meeting to discuss the candidates.
